Monash Medical Centre  

The Monash Medical Centre (Clayton) plays a major role in teaching and referrals within the state of Victoria. The Clayton campus is the largest center in the Southern Health Group, providing specialist care to the State’s south-east.

 

The Reverend Professor Victor Yu is a neonatal paediatrician who, together with Dr. Bill Kitchen, established a two-hospital collaboration (MMC and RWH) for long-term follow-up of VLBW infants in 1977, which was extended to become the population-based statewide long- term follow-up program in 1979 (later given the name "VICS").

 

Margaret Charlton is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Reproduction and Development at Monash University. Margaret is a specialist in Health Psychology and in Educational and Developmental Psychology. She works in the Growth and Development follow-up programme at Monash Medical Centre.

Dr Elizabeth Carse is a neonatal paediatrician who has worked in the Clinic for a number of years and also works in the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery at Monash Medical Centre.

 

Maree Hayes is the Nurse Coordinator of the Clinic.
